The cake is a chocolate cake with caramel-milk chocolate frosting. I've made the recipe before but I had forgotten just how addictive this frosting is!

The cake was covered in homemade fondant and decorated with handmade fondant cosmetics. I loved just the cosmetics on their own, even before the cake was baked.

This cake was made for the daughter of a friend of mine who loves nail polish and is a girl's girl. I hope that the birthday girl is as happy with the cake as I am! Happy Birthday, Melika!

This was my first cake of the New Year but the cake itself is not a new one for me as I've done both the flavor and the design before.

The cake is a chocolate raspberry cake filled with raspberry mousse and covered in dark chocolate ganache and marshmallow fondant.

The design to me looks modern and retro somehow at the same time if that's possible. The circles are all made from fondant and the standing pieces are done with florist wire.
