We had a 'February Fiesta' potluck at work so I decided to bring a margarita chiffon cake with a tequila lime strawberry compote. I had made this cake a few years back and it's quite yummy!
The compote had a stronger tequila kick than I remembered and the cake was topped with a Triple Sec, tequila and lime glaze!
Anyone who knows me knows how much I love my Momofuku Milk Bar cookbook! I've made this banana cake before but my colleagues in the office haven't had it yet so I made it for a birthday in the office!
The cake layers are a delicious banana cake which are then soaked in milk. Each cake layer is topped with chocolate-hazelnut ganache, hazelnut crunch and banana cream. The top of the cake was covered in hazelnut frosting, hazelnut brittle and more hazelnut crunch.
