This is a chocolate espresso swirl cheesecake covered in mocha whipped cream. The cheesecake is wrapped in a semisweet chocolate collar done with a transfer sheet. The borders are piped with mocha whipped cream and I used espresso beans as a garnish on the rosettes on the top of the cake. The lettering was done with gumpaste and brushed with petal dust to get the coloring.
This is a sour cream chocolate cake with vanilla Italian meringue buttercream. The cake topper is a bath toy. The bubbles are a combination of mini marshmallows and piped buttercream.
The cake was surrounded by 24 cupcakes (a mixture of chocolate and vanilla cupcakes). Each cupcake was topped with a marshmallow "duck" (a chick with the nose dusted orange)
This cake was chocolate-raspberry cake layers and was filled with raspberry mousse. The cake was covered in a bittersweet chocolate ganache with a hint of Framboise in it. The cake was wrapped in a bittersweet chocolate collar done with a patterned chocolate transfer sheet. The borders were piped on with raspberry mousse and the lettering, flower petals and magnolia were made with gumpaste.
These are Cashew Caramel Cookies. They not only have lots of chunks of cashews in the cookies but also have a homemade cashew butter that was creamed with brown and white sugars to form the base of the batter. Once baked and cooled, these cookies were drizzled with caramel.
These are tiramisu cookies. The cookies themselves are almost an espresso sponge cake, which were then coated with chocolate on one side and sandwiched together with a Kahlua-mascarpone cream filling. Yum!
This is a Southern Coconut Cake with Cream Cheese Buttercream covered in coconut. I was really excited to try this buttercream because it used a sugar syrup and meringue base and incorporated cream cheese into it.
The cake was topped with three gumpaste tulips dusted with different shades of yellow petal dusts.
The gardening girl on the cake board was made from gumpaste...
...As was the lady on top of the cake and the watering can. Also, the fence posts surrounding the base of the cake were made from fondant and given a wood grain finish with an impression mat. The slats in the fence were piped in with icing as was the grass.
The lettering was done with fondant and "Feliz Cumpleaños" means Happy Birthday in Spanish. I hope that this cake added to a great family birthday celebration! Feliz Cumpleaños!!
