I've been wanting to learn how to work with wafer paper for awhile now. Thanks to a Craftsy online class and Pinterest I was able to learn a number of different techniques to make all of these flowers
This is a wafer paper peony. To add a little interest, I put a few silver dragees in for the centre.
This is an open rose. I felt like it needed a centre of some kind when it was done and remembered a string centre I had done for gumpaste roses in the past.
These are rolled wafer paper roses. This flower did not work on the first attempt for me but the second attempt worked out a lot better :)
This is a wafer paper flower I found on pinterest. I may try this with gumpaste in the future as well.
This is a wafer paper ranunculus. Overall, I'm happy with how my first creations with wafer paper turned out and I think these will look great on cakes sometime soon!
This blog will follow my adventures with cake, pastry and all things sweet!
